Farmers Market: Kitsilano


The Kits market takes place Sundays in the parking lot of the Community Centre, and has a Bike Valet for shoppers on two wheels, and lots nearby for families to do.

*A note for this summer: During construction on the parking lot at the Kits Community Centre, the Kitsilano Market will temporarily relocate to Riley Park, at the southeast corner of 30th Avenue and Ontario Street. From May 10 to June 7, 2015 the market will run on the same day and time, and have all the same vendors as the Kits market.

St. Patrick's Day Parade


The 11th Annual Vancouver St. Patrick's day Parade is CelticFest Vancouver's largest and most popular free event, and takes place on Sunday, March 15th.

CelticFest has been taking place each year to bring together the local community in an annual festival celebration of Celtic culture in Vancouver. They showcase local and international Celtic music, dance, spoken word, theatre, film art, crafts, food and drinks and Highland sport.

Festival organizers expect over 200,000 people to line the streets and cheer on the 2,000 parade participants, which will include award-winning pipe and drum bands, Celtic musicians, Scottish and Irish dancers, acrobats, stilt-walkers, vintage cars, VDP motorcycle drill team and pipe band, fire and police dogs, mounted horse drill teams, multi-cultural organizaions and performers, local businesses and many more.

Enjoy a wide range of original and affordable contemporary artworks in this ONE DAY, Salon-Style sale as part of the biennial ARTSFEST.  As each painting is sold, it will be replaced by a new work, so the “show” will change throughout the day.  Art Cards, a popular item at the fall show, will also be available for purchase.  This is the first time that Port Moody Art Association has done this type of show, and exhibiting artists will be in attendance all day.

Port Moody Art Association's 46th ART SHOW AND SALE


46th Port Moody Art Association Annual Art Show

Join us in celebrating the 46th Annual Art Show which opens on Nov. 1st at 7:30  pm sharp at the Social Recreation Centre, 300 Ioco Road, in Port Moody.   

The Port Moody Art Association’s annual art show is the largest sale of original art in the Tri-Cities with over 300 works for sale.  Councillor Zoë Royer will open the show Friday night and Colonel and Mrs. Moody will be in attendance!  The Show continues on Nov. 2nd and 3rd from 10 am to 5 pm, with refreshments, free admission and free parking.  Come and celebrate with Port Moody’s community of artists!
